A great lower back strength, hypertrophy and fat burning exercise..But do you need them?
Deadlifts are a great exercise, but they also have a high risk of re-injury associated with them (more so than squats).
They are NOT mandatory for building a strong back or rehabbing yourself out of chronic back pain; but if performed correctly for your mechanics, they can bring a host of benefits to your training and physique goals.
