How to Heal a Disc Bulge…
To heal a bulge successfully, we MUST do two things consistently well.
- Reduce flexion based aggravators below a tolerable limit (Note: this does NOT mean avoiding all bending completely)
- Introduce some passive extension, via the disc recovery method, to reverse the hydraulic pressure in the disc and encourage the bulge to retreat.
NOTE: The disc recovery method does work for everyone…for example, those with very tight hip-flexors/psoas muscles may not like that position until they have rebuilt some glute strength.
