How to Heal a Disc Bulge…

To heal a bulge successfully, we MUST do two things consistently well.

  1. Reduce flexion based aggravators below a tolerable limit (Note: this does NOT mean avoiding all bending completely)
  2. Introduce some passive extension, via the disc recovery method, to reverse the hydraulic pressure in the disc and encourage the bulge to retreat.

NOTE: The disc recovery method does work for everyone…for example, those with very tight hip-flexors/psoas muscles may not like that position until they have rebuilt some glute strength.
