Set yourself up for the best results…


 

Its been a great week – the first one so far where every single person assessed has managed to drop bodyfat (some more than others – you know who you are!)

Massive well done to:

Laura – 3.6% bodyfat in 4 weeks and now buying size 8 dresses
Lisa – 4% in 6 weeks
Helen – 2% and 4kg in the past two weeks!

I often get asked how some people seem to do so well right from the start and why others struggle. It call comes down to consistency. We all (me included) have to do the same things to get and stay lean – namely eat better and train hard. There are no shortcuts.

Getting your nutrition right…

Today’s post is all about diet and nutrition.

I make a habit of saying to everyone I train, that keeping a clean diet will yield 80% of your results for fat loss.

I’ve always liked the expression “You can’t out-train a bad diet”, which is very true. Your diet and nutrition should back up the hard work you put into the gym, otherwise you are selling yourself short on the results you will get.

Biosignature Modulation now available in Newton Abbot and Torquay

I’ve gust gotten back from my biosignature course in London with Charles Poliquin.

I have to say it is THE BEST AND MOST ENJOYABLE course I have ever attended.

Using the 12 point body-fat caliper test combined with Zinc and HCL testing to balance hormones, I can now:

  • EVERY single cell in the human body has receptor sites for: Thyroid hormone, Omega-3 and Vitamin D
  • Everyone in the UK is exposed to LARGE quantities of Xeno-estrogens in the enviroment (plastics, poor quality water and comestics being massive contributors) – which contrbutes to man-boobs in men and increased risks of cancers in both men and women.
  • DHA, Carnitine and Vitamin D in sufficient doeses can nutritionally support the brain development of children and reduce symptoms of ADHD and autism.
  • The only hormome we have 100% control over is Insulin, via the foods we choose to eat
  • Every other hormone has an effect on how well your body uses Thyroid hormones – which in turn regualte the metablosim of EVERY cell in your body
  • Stress, toxicity and nutrional deficiencies are the main contributors to fat gain
  • Eating a Paleo style diet will bring about better energy, health, mental focus and fat loss almost instantly
  • Insulin and high levels of Aluminium in the blood greatly increase the risk of Alzhemier’s developing – there is a growing movement with Functional MDs to have re-classed as diabetes type-3
  • Low Zinc levels and high insulin encourage Testosterone to be aromatized into Estrogen
  • 99% of the world’s population are deficient in both magnesium and zinc due to poor soil quality and modern intensive farming methods
  • Boosting Vitamin D levels to high-normal (80 and 100 ng/mL range) switches on a polypeptide that helps cells destroy invading microbes – cathelicidin
  • Fish oils combined with good quality Carnitine promote RAPID body composition changes, whilst also promoting better heart health
